Herein lies a sampling of the author's latent talent
__The Superficial Blues__
My friend called me at the end of March
Let's go down to the Golden Arch
"Have it your way" blared the sign
No mayo on the bread and plain fruit for mine
The waiter looked at us as if we were Greek
We gave our order and tried to appear meek
Then glancing around the room we noticed
The Majority with raised noses just hissed
But on that day we suddenly found out
What it's like to truly stand out
Beauty may only be skin deep
But well-dressed men don't raise a peep
Don't judge a book by its cover
And you will most certainly discover
That it's wise to look into the matter
Not counting the minutes like a Mad Hatter
I look at the heart says the Lord
That's where your treasures are stored
Fame and fortune may cast an allure
But a man's character is much more secure.
