Herein lies a sampling of the author's latent talent

__The Superficial Blues__

My friend called me at the end of March

Let's go down to the Golden Arch

"Have it your way" blared the sign

No mayo on the bread and plain fruit for mine

The waiter looked at us as if we were Greek

We gave our order and tried to appear meek

Then glancing around the room we noticed

The Majority with raised noses just hissed

But on that day we suddenly found out

What it's like to truly stand out

Beauty may only be skin deep

But well-dressed men don't raise a peep

Don't judge a book by its cover

And you will most certainly discover

That it's wise to look into the matter

Not counting the minutes like a Mad Hatter

I look at the heart says the Lord

That's where your treasures are stored

Fame and fortune may cast an allure

But a man's character is much more secure.

__An Ode to ELOT__

Reflections upon the waters

Over the English language Seas

Traveling to and fro

Observing and learning

Through trial and error

Ere the vanguard of despair

Striving toward the earning

Of the distinguished maestro

A Diploma of expertise

A learner in the group of BaWers

Through many twists and turns

Sacrifice of family, friends, and time

Imagination, creation, and modification

Information overload and countless Tools galore!

Weekly doses of fun and reflective postings

Abundant comaderie and cordial greetings

Bubbles, Bonzo, Wikis, blogs, and more

The ELT shall persue collaboration

Through adaptation, borrowing, or rhyme

As this wonderful course adjourns
